Made for us by Shane McLoughlin at Canonbah Bridge in New South Wales this is a classically framed Shiraz with overtones of France’s Rhone Valley alongside the typical Australian characters. Ripe bramble fruit notes with spice and the faintest hint of burnt rubber make up the stylish bouquet. On the palate it is clearly defined with dark, ripe black fruit flavours, hints of cinnamon and black pepper which give way to a firm stylish finish. Works well with both lamb and beef and makes a good quaffer at barbecues or parties.
