2005 has given wines that are a little more elegant than 2004 but nonetheless of superb quality and this is certainly no exception. Mascarello doesn't belive inthe use of barrel - that's for the modernists and he believes it smothers the origin of the wine making them of international style rather than Piemontese. This really shows it's origins and delivers wonderful, elegant fruit with great complexity beneath. Fantastic quality.
