A truly sensational wine from an exceptional vintage. The perfumes of this blockbuster wine are similar to the normal Brunello but so much more elegant and refined yet with no lack of power. Sweet ripe black cherry fruit leads to spice box flavours, notes of tar and hints of rosemary. The balance of the wine is perfect with a structure giving it many years of life – with good storage 20 years would be easy – yet it is most approachable now especially with food. A true super star.
