Chile's Central Valley is the home of much of the country's cheaper wines often lacking in character and quality. This is very much the exception with the majority of the fruit coming from the more southerly Maule Valley. Aromas of ripe pear and pineapple dominate mixed with notes of butter and vanilla on the palate. This is certainly a fresh style of Chardonnay with good persistence in the finish.
