This property in the Haut Medoc is in the hands of the Miailhe family whose serious approach to wine and wine-making is very evident in this delicious claret. Equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown on clay/limestone soil with just 10% on gravel giving the wine good structure and power. Vinified in stainless steel and then matured for 12 months in French oak casks, the wine is fine and elegant with abundant fruit and soft spices with hints of virginia tobacco in the finish. Excellent claret.
