The vineyard in which this Barbera d'Alba originates is about 50 years old and lies on Bricco San Biagio, where it enjoys southerly exposure. The exposure and low production per plant ensures that the grape ripens perfectly, with an optimum concentrration and balance between sugars and acidity. The result is a wine with really complex aromas but yet full of pure fruit. On the palate it is crammed with black cherry styled fruit with dark chocolate notes. The finish is huge again full of dark fruit and chocolate. A trully magnificent bottle!
