Guardian Peak Shiraz / Mourvedre / Grenache - Stellenbosch

This classic Rhone blend is intensly coloured with distinctly savoury aromas that quickly develop into plums and blackcurrant backed by notes of chocolate and coffee. The black fruit flavours dominate the palate with notes of vanilla and spice that lead to a beautifully layered finish with fine well integreated tannins. Jean Enlgelbrecht recommends it to be paired with Ostrich carpaccio but, should you find yourself laughing at Ostrich why not try it with a good beef casserole!
