I have to admit, we’re not really Pinotage lovers, but you just can’t help falling for this wonderful offering from Daniel Steytler. Intensely coloured, it has huge aromas of spicy damsons and plums with well integrated oak. The palate is powerful and equally intense with plenty of ripe tannins to balance the rich fruits. Further complexity will repay cellaring for some 3 to 5 years but even now it’s great fun to drink.
