Made by Louis Barruol at the Chateau St. Cosme, this is a little star that drinks well above its appellation. Made predominatley from the Syrah grape from vineyards to the north of the Chateauneuf du Pape, the wine shows great structure and balance with loads of developed fruit aromas and flavours combined with a good level of acidity to make it a perfect food wine. This inexpensive red is a terrific partner to all red meats and game and offers great value.
