The 2001 vintage in the Languedoc was quite classical and this wine typifies both the vintage and the terrior. This is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre and Carignan from the single vineyard of Les Charmes which is on the gravely soil of Saint-Pargoire. A classical wine with a discreet nose of garrigue and spicy fruit that leads to a soft, elegant and refined palate full of complexity and those nuances of flavour so reminiscent of the South of France. A wonderful wine that is ideal with Lamb, Beef and those winter casseroles that really warm you up.
