The ultimate Vouvray and from one of the greatest vintages of the century. Pierre Darragon rented these vineyards but this is the last harvest he was able to produce. The rich and full nose has many complex flavours with developed fruit due to its age in bottle. On the palate it is rich, honeyed yet suprisingly fresh for its age and finishes with a full and vibrant aftertaste. This is a wine that can be cellared for many years to come and will always reward the drinker with great delight at any time. Although this can be drunk with a variety of fruit based desserts it is really at its best when served with rich pates and terrines or the ultimate - fois gras.
