Chateau Pontac Lynch - Cru Bourgeois, Margaux

Stradling the two communes of Margaux and Cantenac, Chateau Pontac Lynch has long been in the shadow of its illustrious neighbours chateaux Margaux and Palmer. Of recent years it has started to show just what quality can be produced by these fine vineyards just a stones throw from the river. The tell-tale aromatics of Margaux are bright and full with a soft sweet, black fruit palate balanced by spicy notes and hints of cedar. Drink now (2009) but will cellar for a decade or so.
