Numanthia - Bodegas Numanthia Termes, Toro

One of the final vintages before the bodega was sold by the Eguren family to pass into the hands of L.V.M.H. of Moet et Chandon fame. This is a big, brooding and structured wine that is only just (2009) starting to show its paces. The usual copious black fruit aromas dominate with spice and mineral notes and tannins still evident but starting to soften, it could do with a couple more years cellaring to approach it at best and should have some considerable life in front of it.
