Collin-Bourisset

The Collin-Bourriset company dates back to 1821. It is a traditional negociant house in that, apart from one Hospice vineyard in Moulin a Vent, it owns no vines. This allows the company to select and buy only the best wines from growers on an annual basis according to quality, and to bottle and mature them under optimum conditions. The genial Ed Steeves, who runs the company, used to work in the American wine trade, but moved to France when he married his charming wife, Monique.

	Macon Fuisse - Collin Bourisset W1 2007 8.52 Bright, fresh aromas of hawthorn blossom, a full and fruity palate with a salty minerality beneath and a fresh and generous aftertaste. Incredible value for the quality.
	Morgon l'Authentique - Collin Bourisset R1 2003 8.70 Ripe aromas and flavours of cherries with hints of game and some spice, generous on the palate and full in the finish. Excellent traditional Beaujolais.
	St Veran - Chateau de Chasselas W1 2005/06 8.75 Soft yet bright fruit aromas give way to a gentle, fruity palate with saline notes. This is a terrific food wine.
	Vire-Clesse 'Vieille Vignes' - Collin Bourisset W1 2005/06 8.75 Fresh and floral with mineral notes, a full and vibrant palate dominated by fruit and blossom flavours and superbly balanced acidity. Full and extremely refreshing.
	Pouilly Fuisse - Les Deux Rives W3 2006 13.22 Typical green-gold colour. Elegant and attractive bouquet of hazelnuts and toasted almonds of acacia and white lilies. Rich, smooth texture. Well-defined Chardonnay character, with pure, fresh, complex flavours. Excellent balance and good length. In short, a superb white burgundy offering the very best in quality.
