South African wines mirror the harmony achieved in their homeland since the ending of apartheid. Their wine-makers have researched the world-wide public’s tastes in wine and have set out to give the public what it wants, invigorating wines, full of sunshine, well made and true to their grape varieties. Investment in the industry has been enormous and successful. However, a word of caution! Grape viruses are prevalent in South Africa. The estates represented here are virus free.

A great little everyday wine from the Western Cape. The Chenin adds bright, apple fruit aromas, crisp acidity and some mineralty whilst the Chardonnay gives an expansive palate and soft fruit flavours.

Delicious aromas of gooseberry and ripe tropical fruits tantalize the nose, whilst on the palate it is well balanced, supple and refreshing with mineral notes in the finish. Try it with thyme-roasted chicken or soft white cheeses.

The deep, pink colour is really attractive. The aromas are dominated by strawberry fruit with notes of black cherries which lead to a refreshing and fruity palate that is perfectly balanced and lingers for an age.

Soft round and creamy, this unoaked Chardonnay has aromas of poached pears, peaches, melon and ginger, well rounded on the palate and full flavoured.

This medium-full bodied red wine has an approachable earthy style with wonderful aromas of berry fruit and a hint of oak. On the palate it has notes of violets over the blackberry fruit that finishes with the typical sweet berry flavours.

Superb spicy springtime aromas of peaches, apricots and honeysuckle. In the mouth it’s very waxy and delicate yet with an underlying strength and focus.
