This modern style of Rioja from the company’s own vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra where only grapes from vines of 50 years of age are used, is loaded with ripe black fruits, coffee and spices with well integrated oak flavours and an overcoat of ripe tannins.

Now (2009) in perfect maturity, the aromas are reminiscent of mature Burgundy with notes of undergrowth and animal scents beneath the berry fruit. Good length in the finish.
