Densely coloured with full on aromas of spicy black fruits backed by notes of wild thyme and lavender. Full flavoured, mouth filling and awash with ripe tannins, this is a keeper but can still be fun to drink now.

Typically for Margaux, the wine offers good sweet black fruit with hints of herbs and lavender balanced by firm, ripe tannins. Good for current consumption (2009) it is best drunk over the coming five years whilst the fruit remains youthful and vigorous.

Absolutely stunning! Violets, mint, coffee and blackberry dominate the aroma and carry to the palate where they combine with smooth layers of fine-grained tannins. A truly world class wine.

Dark, intense and loaded with ripe fruit the tannins would benefit from another 2 years cellaring just to round out a little. When mature this will be a trully superb St Emilion.

An exemplary glass of Nuits St Georges showing very much the style of the domaine. Although light in colour, it lacks nothing in concentration and fruit and is perfect for drinking at the moment.

2001 was an excellent vintage for the right bank of Bordeaux and is ideal for current consumption. It is packed with fruit balanced by notes of spice and hints of undergrowth. Sensational St Emilion.

Deeply coloured with masses of blackberry/blackcurrant fruit tempered by spice and liquorice notes. Mouthfilling and opulent with great concentration, it’s drinking beautifully now (2009) but has many years ahead of it.

The intense cherry colour leads to a nose of ripe crystallised fruit, spice, minerals, herbs and coffee. On the palate it is well structured, fleshy with savoury notes, good backbone and loaded with fruit, balanced by delicate smoky undertones.

Rich and potent with full-on aromas of black fruit with notes spice, it is rich and opulent on the palate with sensations of blackcurrant pastilles (Allenburys if your old enough to remember!) and ripe tannins to balance.

Dark and brooding with big, spicy, ripe plum fruit, great structure with loads of soft, ripe tannins and an incredible finish. Quite superb and excellent value.

This light salmon coloured Champagne has great finesse and breeding that opens with a bouquet of red berries that lead to a fresh and lively palate with a refreshing clip of acidity.

A great expression of the Viognier grape with intense aromas and flavours of white blossom with well integrated oak and perfect levels of acidity.

Well flavoured on the palate with an underpinning minerality and a fresh and persistent finish.

The colour is a brilliant limpid yellow with green tints. Powerful and complex on the nose with almond, toast and butter aromas. In the mouth it is very powerful and fleshy. Fine, supple, elegant with a long length.

The usual copious black fruit aromas dominate with spice and mineral notes and tannins still evident but starting to soften.

The ‘Clos St Jean’ is perhaps the best terroir of Chassagne Montrachet for Pinot Noir where the fruit develops wonderful red-berry aromas combined with a delicious spice to give complexity and style on the palate with hints of rare meat. Simply superb!

An excellent vintage for white Burgundy, it’s time to be drinking this delicious wine, bursting with a generous, honeyed fruit.

The very expression of Champagne superbly balanced with delightful appetising aromas and refreshing finish. The high proportion of Chardonnay within the blend gives great elegance and finese whilst the Pinot adds true depth and character. Superb!

This late harvest Condrieu shows a great concentration of fruits combined with a bright yet balancing acidity and a soft silky finish.

This is a wonderfully balanced Rioja with the ripe black fruits being underpinned by notes of spice, lead pencil and toast. On the palate it is mouthfilling and intense yet elegant and with finesse.

A brilliant limpid yellow. On the nose a floral and oaky aroma with acacias and honey at the end. In the mouth fleshy, fresh, full and complex. A fine wine with very good length. The best wine of the Maconnais.

The wine has a silky texture on the palate with superb ripe fruit flavours combined with good acidity. An excellent bottle!

Really intensely flavoured, the wine opens with pure black fruit with new oak still a little evident (2009) with toasty notes and hints of mineral. On the palate it is powerful and rich yet with finesse. There’s plenty of ripe tannin to give it back-bone but the ripe black fruit dominates.

Well structured with plenty of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, hints of cigar box and firm tannin to balance. Ideal for current drinking.

Wonderfully intense aromas of dried grapes lead to more complex notes of stewed fruit. In the mouth it is full and ripe with notes of tropical fruits, especially mango, together with the tell-tale orange peel hints so associated with fine Sauternes. The aftertaste is unctuous and extremely long.

The 2000 vintage is now mature and the few bottles we have left are ideal for current consumption.

An excellent vintage in the Cote de Beaune and this delicious wine is really showing it’s paces now yet with a year or 2 ahead of it also.

An excellent vintage and just coming into its plateau of maturity. Good developed aromas and flavours with plenty of time to develop further.
