Costieres de Nimes Rose - Mas Carlot
Overview
This delightful estate that was built between the 17th and 19th centuries in the Southern Rhone Valley has history well beyond that with Roman remains being found on the property over 2000 years old. No wines exist from then though!! This rosé is a fresh and lively blend of Grenache and Syrah with just a touch of Mourvedre. The must is bled from the skins after around 12 hours, enough time to colour the juice without impacting tannins into the equation. This delicious cherry / fuschia coloured wine has full and fresh aromas of red fruits a clean and lively palate with a crisp acidity and a round yet savoury finish.
