This excellent hearty red from the south of the Rhone Valley just typifies the aromas and flavours of Provence. A 60/40 blend of Syrah and Grenache the wine has been both fermented and aged in tank to preserve all the fresh fruit flavours. The Syrah brings spice and great elegance to the wine while the Grenache gives great fruit and a depth. Aromatic perfumes of red fruits and plenty of spice and pepper, the palate is round, supple and balanced with fine grained tannins and notes of liquorice in the finish. Terrific with all red meats but really at it’s best with lamb.
