From being one of the UK’s largest wine suppliers, Australia has seen a great decline in exports thanks to the strength of its currency. Some producers such as Shane Mcloughlin have supported prices thus continuing to offer excellent value. Apart from this, it is mainly the producers making classically framed wines that continue to flourish with the lighter, fruit driven styles being sourced in other parts of the world. New Zealand wines however, seem to go from strength to strength with Pinot Noir now being almost as sort after as Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Although prices have been rising, the wines continue to offer good value for money and remain very stylish.
