South African Wines continue to rise in popularity as they offer both quality and value for money. The Cape vineyards grow an array of international grape varieties and stylistically, the wines seem to fit between the fruit-driven style of Australia and the more classically framed offerings from Europe. Something for everybody then and affordable prices too. Stellenbosch remains the centre for South African wines of quality yet it can also now be found all around the Western Cape. For white wines, Walker Bay and Elgin are producing some sensational wines that are truly international in quality.
