Our selection of wines from USA is only short. In general we find the wines rather overpriced and at times, over-oaked yet the finest are truly amazing. We’re still looking! In South America, Chile remains good value despite price rises in the aftermath of the earthquake. Quality continues to remain solid and now some other areas are being seen in preference to the central valleys. Argentina has now become synonymous for Malbec and Torrontes and offers great value on the international stage. Mendoza and Salta respectively are the areas most associated with the quality of these two varieties.
