Lodi is noted for it’s Zinfandel wines and this cuvee of some 50 year old vines is a great example. Fruit from both altitude and valley floor are blended with the former aged in oak cask. Perfect for current consumption this wine gives mouthfuls of red/black fruits with notes of chocolate. Spicy with hints of vanilla in the finish this is a wonderfully balanced wine that despite it’s power is surprisingly elegant in the finish.
