Astoria have made an exceptional Pinot Grigio here that is far from the acid water that most people are selling these days. Cold fermentation preserves all of the fine ripe pear fruit that is so distictive of this grape variety. The palate is clean yet soft and luscious with a perfect level of acidity to refresh the palate without detracting from the natural purity of fruit. No oak either to interfere with the flavours. An ideal food wine although great fun to drink by itself.
