Rosso di Montalcino comes from the same vineyards as Brunello and again is 100% Sangiovese (Brunello) but rather than the long ageing required for the DOCG they have simply 6 months in cask and 12 months in bottle. This gives the estate some much needed cash flow and us some exquisite wines at affordable prices. Light spicy aromas lead to a beautifully balanced palate with plenty of chewy fruit and spice with cherries dominant. Powerful yet fine in the finish.
