Bodega Pedro Escudero - Rueda

The Bodega Pedro Escudero have been making wines in Rueda for several generations following local traditions and cultivating their vines in a time honoured fashion.

Today, Pedro Escudero has over 50 hectares under vine in the stoney soils in the very heart of the Rueda DO, soils that are ideal for the production of the Verdejo and Viura varieties.They have constructed their winery in the village of La Seca between the house and the vineyards, to make quality wines under the same criteria of respect for ecology as that with which they care for the vineyards and vines.

The winery is fully independent and is a modern construction of 1500 square metres. All of the Pedro Escudero installations and vats are of stainless steel and they have selected the best of modern technology in line with their philosophy of maximum quality and highest respect for both the wines and the environment. The wines really are a reflection of the high quality that can be achieved in Rueda.
