Bodegas Sierra Cantabria - La Rioja
Bodegas Sierra Cantabria is without doubt, one of Spain's finest wine producers. It has been part of our catalogue for 20 years now during which time we have seen the product range grow whilst retaining the very highest of quality levels throughout the range.
Miguel Eguren looks after the vineyards for Sierra Cantabria whilst the winemaking is all down to brother Marcos and his son Eduardo, both of whom are producing stunning wines whether it be in the traditional or modern style.
Whilst the bodega has been producing wines under the Sierra Cantabria label for over 50 years, more recently (starting in 1991) they have been producing a range of single vineyard wines that are superbly crafted and are recognised by journalists such as the reknowned Robert Parker and other such lofty critics, as being some of the greatest offerings that are available internationally as well as within Spain. The wine has a deep purple almost black colour. The palate is laden with ripe black fruits spices and some pencil shavings mirroring the fine aromas. It is extremely concentrated and savoury.

Unusual for Sierra Cantabria, this is a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano from around San Vicente. It has full aromas of red fruits, herbs and spices with a sumptuous palate and a rich aftertaste. Sensational.
