Bodegas Vega Real - Ribera del Duero

The Bodegas Vega Real is in the heart of the famous Ribera del Duero region, brought to international acclaim by the fabled Vega Sicilia. Today the area has expanded with many new bodegas being created in the last 20 years.

However this is not a region for the faint hearted as its high altitude vineyards are susceptible to late spring frosts which can devastate  a harvest leaving the producer with little or no income.

Vega Real produce 3 main grape varieties - Tempranillo, Cabernet and Merlot - and produce around 500,000 bottles per year. Their modern cellars contain over 1,000 barrels of wine in various stages of ageing.

As with Bodega Pirineos, Vega Real are part of the Barbadillo group, experts in the production of fine quality wines and sherries from throughout Spain. From Roble to Reserva, these are exceptional wines that also offer great value for money.
