Champagne Boizel was established by Auguste Boizel in 1834 and today, the company is still run by his descendants, Evelyne and Christophe Roques-Boizel, who oversee the time-honoured traditions that make the wine so very special.
Creating fine Champagne is no easy matter and at Champagne Boizel, experience and intuition are the gifts that are used by the family to prepare each cuvee for the precious ageing time, which here is a minimum of 3 years in the bottle before disgorgement. This is the time when the precious bubbles are born which breathe life into this wonderful wine.
Although Champagne Boizel own some of their own vineyards, the vast majority of the grapes are sourced on contact from small growers but, only from holdings in the Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. Each grape variety is particularly suited to its terroir, for example the Chardonnay is soley sourced in the Cote des Blancs.
These are wonderful Champagnes and, although not so well known, certainly they represent some of the finest wines that the region has to offer.
