Languedoc Rouge - Chateau Canet
Overview
The 45 hectares of vineyards of the estate are mainly given over to Minervois production (80%) and of the remainder, most is given to the production of Vin de Pays. However a small parcel of vines are entitled to the appellation Languedoc and here the majority of the blend comes from the Grenache grape (60%) instead of Syrah which dominates the Minervois cuvees. Vineyards are managed according to sustainable agriculture following the brief of Terra Vitis. The wine has enchanting aromas of fruit and spice, full yet not overblown. On the palate there are notes of wild thyme behind the pure elegant fruit and good structure with hints of dark chocolate in the finish.
