The wines of Domaine Gaillard are great examples of all that is good in the northern Rhone Valley. Wines of great quality that show distinct terroir and varietal typicity alike.
Pierre Gaillard is a most amiable man who we first encountered after drinking his Condrieu in a Parisienne restaurant. (And luckily we weren't paying!) On the first visit to the domaine we were surprised to find that the red wines were equally as good (in some cases if not better) than the whites and lo and behold he had a pair of stickies too! Well two dessert wines that is!
Despite the wonderful quality of Pierre Gaillard's wines, they remain great value for money. Whether it be for St Joseph or Cote Rotie, Condrieu or the Vin de Paille, each wine remains a carefully crafted masterpiece and one that I'm sure the vast majority of people will enjoy.
