Domaine Roumier is one of the two greatest wine estates in Burgundy in our humble opinion. The wine-making style really fits the collection of appellations that they own being based around Chambolle Musigny with its silky style.
Christophe Roumier is a gently spoken man who crafts wines of impeccable style and quality. When told that his Bonnes Mares wasn't bad for a French wine, he even laughed! Whether this was politeness or a genuinely wonderful sense of humour will be left for another occasion, but whatever the outcome, there is certainly no doubting his skill in both vineyard and cellar.
