Domaine JJ Confuron is now under the control of Alain Meunier and his charming wife Sophie (Confuron). They have parcels of vineyard scattered throughout the Cote de Nuits including the famous grand cru of Romanee St Vivant.
The Confuron style is one of pure, ripe black fruit mingled with spice and notes of glycerin on the palate. Wines that are charming, flattering and above all, delicious to drink. The grapes are completely destemmed before vinification thus intensifying the colour.
The vineyards are farmed in organic fashion and they are all of considerable age, thus producing fruit of great quality for the Confuron wines. This is a top drawer estate and worthy of inclusion in every cellar.

Clos Vougeot - Domaine J.J Confuron 2000 |
Alain Meunier's open fruited style is obvious here and the depth of flavour he achieves is incredible. Really ripe blackcurrant flavours backed by spice notes with a full and chewy finish. A great wine.
