Dauvissat wines are some of the most distinguished of Chablis and rank as some of the greatest white wines of the world.
The wines are expertly made by Vincent Dauvissat who also cares for the vineyards too which are some of the finest parcels of 1er and grand cru. The wines show great purity of flavour and a full, mineral backbone and they are exemplary Chablis. Even the village Chablis is wonderful and leaves the 1er and grand cru wines of other estates standing.
Vincent's grandfather was in fact a cooper as well as wine-maker and to this day some or all of the Dauvissat wines, dependent on origin, are vinified and aged in barrel, but at no time is the wine marked by wood, just pure fruit. Sensational wines and of wide appeal.
