The Luigi Righetti estate in the heart of the Valpolicella is one of the regions foremost producers of both Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone. The wines represent incredible value too and should never be overlooked by any lover of these north-western Italian gems.

Luigi Righetti himself is now in his late seventies and whilst overseeing the whole business, he has given the day to day control to his sons and grandaughter. The wines remain consumate and typify the style and "drinkability" of the region.

Luigi Righetti's Amarone Capitel del Roari is quite exceptional - a wine of great power and complexity that retains and elegance despite the high alcohol. A wine to be sipped and savoured with a few morsels of Parmesan well into the night. A true Vino di Meditazione.
