Trentham Estate - Murray River
Trentham Estate occupies an idyllic spot right on the edge of the Murray River, but it also has vineyards at higher altitude in Orange State. Tony Murphy, who makes the wines, is not quite your typical Australian; he prefers to let his wines speak for him. Nor are his wines typical Australian having unusual elegance and refinement, and every single bottle is spot on.
The Trentham Estate is owned by the Murphy family who arrived in Australia in 1909 from Ireland and so are numbered among the Irish ‘Winegeese’ who,from the 18 century onwards, engaged in the wine trade in the countries of their adoption and were instrumental in the viticultural development of some of the finest wine-growing areas of the world. Today the many and illustrious wines and labels of the Winegeese have become synonymous with quality on the international market.
The winemaking philosophy at Trentham Estate has always been to produce high-quality varietal wines with an emphasis on full fruit flavour and offering fantastic value for money right across the range.

This does exactly what it says on the tin! Great aussie Shiraz that simply exudes ripe blackcurrant/blackberry flavours with a sweet, silky palate. Really easy drinking and good value too.

This is a soft and delicate wine that displays stone fruit characters on both the aroma and palate. A wonderful anytime wine that is good with or without food. The youthful fruit is well matched by a crisp acidity.

Australia seems to have made dessert wines something of a must and this little sticky is great quality and value. Luscious with aromas of flowers and citrus fruits finishing with a clean acidity.
