Looking forward to Australia Day!

According to the Australia Day official website, “Australia Day is a time to reflect, respect and celebrate. They celebrate their cultural diversity and rich migrant heritage, which is very much part of their unique Australian identity. This diversity shines on Australia Day and is celebrated and respected in myriad ways in NSW and across the nation. Many migrants and refugees will mark Australia Day in special citizenship ceremonies, pledging their allegiance to the community and their commitment to Australia as citizens.”

But we thought it would be a good time to showcase a great Australian winery that we have been enjoying for many years and that shouts out to be discovered more widely. The winery is Trentham Estate based in New South Wales at Trentham Cliffs and it was first in production back in 1988. It has grown substantially since and now Tony Murphy, the current winemaker and owner, crushes grapes and makes wine not only from his own estate but in total he presses over 5000 tonnes of high quality fruit. He strives to make varietal wines of the highest quality that offer pure, fine fruit flavours which slip down like silk knickers!
