Low Calorie Prosecco & Sparkling Wine - all the fizz, fewer calories!
Enjoy a guilt free Christmas with our NEW low calorie prosecco and sparkling wine!
Low calorie wines are not the same as low alcohol wines although they are often grouped together as healthier options. Being that alcohol has more calories than carbs, a low alcohol wine might be seen as one choice for those watching their weight over the festive season but why compromise? Gerard Seel is accepting pre-orders on two great low calorie sparkling wines, ideal for Christmas with all the flavour and fizz but with fewer calories.
Astoria Fano Prosecco is one of the finest sparkling wines the Prosecco region has to offer. It is elegant, fresh and very fruity with a crisp dry finish. The bubbles are fine and the fruity flavours irresistible! An amazing low sugar, low calorie Prosecco, with just 5 to 6 grams of sugar per litre, only 63 calories for every 100ml and with an ABV of 11% it’s offers all the fun without the sin!
Another fine sparkling wine is the Astoria Yu Sushi sparkler. As the name suggests, it was originally intended to accompany Sushi but it’s great to drink as an aperitif or with any fish dish. It is exceptionally elegant, crisp, fresh and light in style and offers the calorie conscious a mere 5 to 6 grams of sugar per litre, 63 calories per 100ml and with an ABF of 11% it is best served between friends, ideally at 6 to 8 degrees to enhance its fruity qualities.

Great to drink on their own, but try these cocktail recipes for a bit of extra special festive cheer. Lovingly shared by Gerrard Seel.
Lemon fizz
Essential ingredient - 100ml of very cold Prosecco
Pop one heaped teaspoon of lemon sorbet into the bottom of a tall flute and dash a few drops of lime cordial over it. Fill this up with your favourite Prosecco, stir quickly but gently, garnish with a slim lemon slice and serve.
Breakfast special
Delicious with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.
Squeeze and strain the juice of one ripe blood orange and pour 50ml into a tall flute. Fill up with your favourite Prosecco. Optional decoration: A few tiny red currants bobbing about on the surface.
Christmas fizz
The sweetness of maple syrup and the tang of cranberry combine well here - serve in a flute if you prefer but this is meant to be unconventional. Shake 2 teaspoons of maple syrup over ice with 50ml chilled cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a tumbler and top up with your favourite Prosecco. Stir swiftly and serve.
Extra zing
This is an extra special drink! Shake 20ml freshly squeezed pomegranate juice, 20ml crème de cassis and 20ml plain vodka with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a tall glass. Top up with Prosecco.
Ginger fizz
Have some fun by trying lime, ginger and crisp prosecco together. Pour 25ml ginger syrup from a jar of stem ginger or 25ml ginger wine/ginger liqueur into a Champagne flute and add the juice of half a ripe lime. Top up with Prosecco, stir and decorate with a small slice of lime.
