Champagne Veuve Doussot Tradition N/V

The Joly family have been vine growers for generations in the Aube region of Champagne and their know-how has been put to great use here. This non-vintage cuvée is a blend of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, with 40% of reserve wines used. The dosage is around 7 grams per litre, making it a true Brut Champagne. It is a lively gold in colour with an elegant, floral and citrus nose, a full-flavoured yet fresh and vibrant palate and a clean, crisp finish that delights. A fantastic Champagne at an excellent price.

Montagny 1er Cru – Cave de Buxy

Fresh as a daisy and full of fruit, this excellent white Burgundy comes from the intermediate clay/limestone slopes in the commune of Montagny. It was vinified in stainless steel vats so there is no oak to detract from the pure fruit characteristics. It has an overall citrus character with fruit, flowers and mineral notes behind. Ample and round on the palate, the wine culminates in an elegant and long finish. Try it with seafood dishes especially in cream sauces or else with veal, chicken or fine cheeses.
