New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc Mixed Case - 12 bottles

New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc continues to be one of the UK's most popular wines. When we look at sales achieved by our restaurant clients, they struggle to sell more premium wines by the glass unless you look at the very top end of the restaurant market. But New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc bucks this trend and sells by the gallon in many places.

For our private clients too, Kiwi Sauvignon is again a really popular choice. For years, wines that became popular with clients made the big importers such as supermarkets look to cut corners to be able to offer wines at cheap prices but the Kiwis always resisted that. OK, you do see some cut price stock these days but not in the same way as wines like Chilean Sauvignon or Pinot Grigio have been affected. New Zealand Sauvignon is perceived to be, and generally is, of high quality.

We have four in our catalogue and so we have put together a mixed case of 12 bottles, 3 bottles of each of the four, for you to try. You'll see the subtle nuances of each of the wines and then you can decide for yourself which is the one that suits your own palate. All that and you save an extra 10% on the usual case price!

The wines are:

Bladen Sauvignon Blanc - Marlborough

This superb Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of gooseberry, grapefruit, nettle and some floral hints. These give way to a plentifully fruited palate with mineral hints, grapefruit zest and herbal notes. It is generous and has finely balanced, zesty acidity and a long clean finish. It's not overblown but most certainly not lacking in power either.

Tin Cottage Sauvignon Blanc - Marlborough

This superb NZ Sauvignon has a bright, pale straw yellow colour  with tinges of green. The nose is tight at first then it opens to generous helpings of gooseberries, fresh herbs and passionfruit. The palate is super concentrated and as well as the passionfruit and gooseberry there are elements of tropical fruit interwoven through the wine. It is long and lingering in the finish.

The Doctor's Sauvignon Blanc / The Vine Whisperer - Marlborough

The Doctors' Sauvignon Blanc is a classic New Zealand style that leaps from the glass with red capsicum, passionfruit and fresh herb aromas. It’s full and satisfying to taste, with that crisp, refreshing, tropical Marlborough finish. All this and a naturally modest 9.5% level of alcohol. What’s not to like about that?!

Bascand Sauvignon Blanc - Marlborough

Bascand Estate Sauvignon Blanc is estate-grown at Rapaura, in the Wairau Valley. Bright and fresh with hints of tropical fruit, citrus and nettle. The palate is lively and crisp, with good depth and length on the finish.
