By Pierre Meurgey Beaune and By Meurgey Croses Macon
We have worked with Pierre Meurgey since the start of Gerrard Seel in 1984 both as a negotiant and later as a grower. Nowadays, Pierre is an artisan wine maker both from the Cote d'Or and also the Maconnais. He has roots in both areas and certainly has a feeling for the wines being a fourth generation winemaker.
His father Henri was perhaps the most respected oenologist in the Cote d'Or for many years and certainly Pierre has inherited his ability and knowledge. Not only this but also has a passion for both the land and its wines, crafting each bottle with care and precision.
At present the range of wines is limited but it will evolve over the coming years and e believe this is a winery to watch. Early signs are fantastic!
