Each case Contains:
Pinot Noir "Les Carisannes" - Henry Brochard, Loire Valley
Henry Brochard is more usually associated with Sancerre in both white and red but they also have some excellent vineyards just outside of the appellation growing both Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Les Carisannes Pinot Noir Rouge is a great wine, combining cherry fruit and violet aromas with a round, fresh palate of black fruit and spice notes. It is supple and nicely balanced. No oak was used in the preparation of the wine so it's as fresh as a daisy and packed with dark fruit.
Beaux Lieux Reserve Syrah/Grenache - Vignobles Canet, Languedoc
Vignobles Canet Beaux Lieux Réserve Rouge is bright ruby red in colour, with ripe strawberry aromas on the nose. In the mouth the Beaux Lieux Réserve red is pleasantly fruity and well balanced with gentle tannins and beautiful freshness. Drink it young to enjoy it at its best, it can even be slightly chilled to make it a very refreshing summer bottle.
Malbec - Cahors Tradition - Chateau Famaey, South West France
Chateau Famaey Cahors Tradition is deep ruby in colour, with a spicy nose of raspberry and bramble fruit. Fine ripe tannins and rich dark fruit define the medium bodied palate and lead into a long, fresh, chewy finish.Grown in the limestone clay soils of the second terrace of the Lot valley, the Château Famaey Cahors Tradition is a pure expression of the region's native Malbec grape. Vinified entirely in temperature controlled stainless steel vats, this is nicely crafted from nose to finish.
Chateau du Barry - Bordeaux Rouge
Chateau Du Barry has a saturated garnet colour that borders on purple-blue. The nose is elegant and powerful, delivering gingerbread, vanilla, and ripe plum and berry fruit aromas. On the palate, the complexity of its well structured red fruit character is enhanced by the appearance of delicious spice notes and supple tannins. It is made of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, harvested by machine. The grapes are sorted in the vineyard before being crushed and placed into stainless steel vats. Here the wine ferments before being allowed to mature in cement and stainless steel for anywhere from 12-18 months, depending upon the vintage.
Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon "Rendez-Vous - Chateau Viranel
This wines is from the area of St Chinian in the Langudoc and it shows attractive, sappy aromas of ripe red fruits. On the palate, Rendez-Vous is light-bodied, with snappy acidity, soft tannins and an elegant herbaceous note - not dissimilar to a Loire red such as Chinon. A lovely wine and very refreshing. It's a great blend with equal portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc contributing to this fresh and vibrant red.
Fronton Cuvee Prestige - Chateau Clamens, South West France
At Château Clamens in Fronton, the sunny weather is more intense and prolonged than in the Gironde, allowing the Cabernet Franc to fully develop its red berry aromas of raspberry and cherry, as well as its peppery notes. It is a blend of Négrette with Cabernet Franc that provides a brilliant ruby red colour and a typical nose for Fronton wines: fresh red fruits and notes of spice, all balanced by a fine tannic structure with hints of violet and liquorice.
The 6 bottle case contains one bottle of each wine; the 12 bottle case contains two bottles of each wine.
