Red Burgundy Mixed Case

by Mixed

Six distinctive and very different examples of red Burgundy from some of the region's better producers. Ranging from lighter to fuller bodied and from fruity to firmer, more mineral in style, there's certainly plenty to get your teeth into.

In this selection:
Domaine du Bicheron - Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018 - A straight forward and simple Burgundy with plenty of fruit and some complex secondary aromas and flavours.
Domaine Boigelot Monthelie Rouge 2017 - Monthelie Rouge is surprisingly well structured, both solidly built and filled with fruit.
Domaine Pascal Prunier Beaune Les Bons Feuves 2017 - grown in a vineyard of 50 year old vines, near to the remains of old coal kilns (the "fournaux" in its name), this is typical of the graceful and elegant Rapet style of winemaking.
Domaine Rapet Pernand Vergelesses 1er Cru Les Vergelesses 2015 -  black fruit and spices with notes of kirsch above, with a touch of Pinot Noir's distinctive sappiness on the palate.
Domaine Drouhin Laroze Gevrey Chambertin 2014 - Pierre Boillot treats this steep, single-vineyard parcel of Gevrey with the same tender love and care as a premier cru, because he believes it yields the quality of one. Taste it for yourself and see if you agree.
Domaine de l'Arlot Cotes de Nuits Villages Clos du Chapeau 2014 - this 1er cru Beaune has a delicate, floral nose with blueberry and blackcurrant aromas. The palate displays a beautiful minerality, and is elegant and slightly spicy.

The 6 bottle case contains one bottle of each wine; the 12 bottle case contains two bottles of each wine.
