Winter Warmers Mixed Case of Reds

Now the clocks have gone back and the autumn weather is really with us, we've been eating some hearty casseroles and probably there are plenty more to come as we go into winter. So here's a mixed case of reds that will warm you up and put some colour into your cheeks!
A mixed case of winter reds just wouldn't be a winter case without an Argentinian Malbec in there so we've opted for one of the favourites from our clients, the Malbec Tonel 46 from Bodegas Los Toneles. A bold, well fruited and spicy red that's ideal with all things casseroled. Great with a steak too.
More classically framed we have a pair of reds from France. A simple red Bordeaux - Chateau di Barry. Simple it may be but a true joy to drink and not for the faint hearted either. Then there's a Rasteau, one of the best value reds from the Rhone Valley which in turn offers the best value of France in our opinion. A blend of Grenache and Syrah grown on the lower slopes of Mont Ventoux. Stylish and elegant but packed with chewy red and black fruit flavours.
Over in Spain, Rioja offers some excellent wines and Sierra Cantabria have made a sensational wine that gives great value. Pure Tempranillo it's packed with dark, dried berry fruit. Soft but full and generous.
Australia knows how to pack a punch with its wines and Shiraz is one of the blockbusters that comes out of the Barossa Valley. Rolf Binder makes full flavoured and potent wines as you would expect but still retaining some finesse. It's packed with sweet blackcurrant fruit with some spice notes behind.Incredible!
Last but not least we've included a generous and well fruited Merlot from the Glenelly Estate in Ida's Valley in Stellenbosch. Dark plum fruit intermingles with notes of Black Forest Gateau on the palate where there is great concentration too. Brilliant in our opinion.
The 6 bottle case contains one bottle of each wine; the 12 bottle case contains two bottles of each wine.
