The Mumm Blanc De Blancs is a rare wine, dating back to 1882. It is crafted according to the finest Champagne-making tradition, using the very best Chardonnay grapes selected from Cramant, a grand cru terroir from the legendary Côtes des Blancs. Its unique label illustrates G.H.Mumm's special know-how and reflects a tradition that required each bottle presented to friends of the house be accompanied by a visiting card that was carefully folded at the corner, indicating that the bottle had been handed over in person.

G.H. Mumm Blanc de Blancs Mumm De Cramant is the exquisite flavour of an exceptional terroir brought to perfection by over 100 years of Champagne making expertise. Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay, the sole white grape of Champagne - hence the name. Cultivated on the Cramant terroir in the heart of Côte des Blancs, the micro-climate and particularly chalky soil are ideal for cultivating an exceptionally fresh style of Chardonnay.

Aside from being the produce of one specific year, to be labelled as such vintage Champagne must spend a minimum of three years resting on its lees. Although this blanc de blancs is a cuvée from a single harvest, Mumm's cellar master decided to preserve its fine, authorative freshness rather than create a vintage Champagne and it only spent two years on it lees. Also, its delicate effervescence is optimised by bottling at a pressure of 4.5 bars, deliberately lower than the 6 bars of most Champagnes. A low sugar content (6g/l) and a controlled ageing process result in a smooth and almost creamy palate.
