Domaine Du P'tit Paradis Chénas

Domaine Du P'tit Paradis Chenas is well coloured and has aromas of plums and cherries, there is delicious sweet fruit on the palate that is perfectly complimented by a well-fitted overcoat of velvety tannin and an attractive spiciness to the lingering finish. The complexity imparted by 65 year old vines means that at six years old this is drinking beautifully now, but it certainly has several more years of life ahead of it. Magnificent!

Denise Margerand, the owner and winemaker of Domaine du P'tit Paradis, has been a friend of ours ever since we sat next to her at a dinner of the Confrérie de Saint Vincent back in 1995. So warm and gently spoken a lady is she that unless you've witnessed it first hand it's hard to believe that she could possess such a potent temper - when the Appellation D'Origine Contrôlée people upset her, she wanted to blow them up! It's precisely this passion that drives her to create such magnificent wines, and her Chénas is a must for any cellar.
