Chateau Du Barry has a saturated garnet colour that borders on purple-blue. The nose is elegant and powerful, delivering gingerbread, vanilla, and ripe plum and berry fruit aromas. On the palate, the complexity of its well structured red fruit character is enhanced by the appearance of delicious spice notes and supple tannins.

About the grower

Roughly 20 miles from the city of Bordeaux rests the quiet little village of Guillac. In this hamlet of less than 200 residents lies the 75 acre Château Du Barry. On the estate’s clay and limestone soil, Joël Barreau and his team use the best of Bordeaux’s traditional winemaking methods to produce a wine that is an authentic representation of this excellent terroir.
