Château La Varière Côteaux Du Layon Le Savetier

Chateau La Variere Coteaux Du Layon Le Savetier has rich, sweet and luscious fruit, dominated by notes of baked apple, quince, honey, smoke and a wet stone minerality. The palate has plenty of body and power, with a suggestion of complex dried mango notes donated by the botrytis that balances the ripe orchard fruit aromas and mineral characters on the elegant, velvety and seductive finish. Very long and sweet but by no means cloying, the acidity, the botrytis and the fruit harmonise beautifully in this luscious and sensuous wine, giving it many more years of development ahead.
