Minervois Rouge – Chateau Canet 2020
This is a very stylish offering from Floris Lemstra that is brimming with elegant blackberry, cherry and blackcurrant aromas that lead to a fresh and generous palate where some spice notes combine to make this an exceptional food wine. When we had this at the chateau, Floris served it with a Cassoulet – a southern French casserole of confit of duck, pork and Toulouse sausages combined with beans – and what a great pair they make. Winter or summer, this wine is a real gem and it doesn’t break the bank either!
