Pinot Noir Vieille Vignes – Domaine Sipp Mack 2019

When the vast majority of wine drinkers think of Pinot Noir, Alsace doesn’t really come into their thoughts as a place of origin, but we have been buying wines from Jacques Sipp for many years and every time, his Pinot Noir Vieille Vignes is a true star. Usually, Pinot Noir makes rose wines in Alsace but here, Jacques has allowed the grapes to have a cold soak for 3 days before fermentation which adds to depth of colour and fruit flavour. It remains and elegant wine with cherry fruit dominant that makes an excellent partner to all red meats and poultry.
